Mighty Nut Powdered Peanut Butter Review & Giveaway

I first met the folks from Peanut Butter & Co a few years ago in Portland at a blog conference where samples of six of their peanut butter flavors were sampled (and approved!) by yours truly.  When the opportunity arose from Fit Approach to try their new Mighty Nut powdered peanut butters I was all in.

Actually there were more reasons than just the brand, as you can see from the image above there’s a whole lot less fat calories in Mighty Nut; 85% less than traditional peanut butter.  As expected you’re still getting the protein you need in every serving (5-6 grams) and only 1 – 1.5 grams of fat.

The Mighty Nut Powdered Peanut Butter comes in four flavors: original, chocolate, flax & chia and vanilla.  Of course, all the great nutrition in the world won’t entice you if it doesn’t taste good, right?  Let’s get to that.

I received two flavors of Mighty Nut, Flax & Chia and original along with a cute branded measuring scoop.  Some of the Sweat Pink ambassadors have made great looking muffins, cookies and other treats.  I’m a traditionalist (meaning I don’t like to bake!) so my first “recipe” was a peanut butter and honey sandwich.

The recommended ratio of powder to liquid is two to one.  I used that for this mixture for my sandwich but afterwards have been adding an extra teaspoon of water for the smooth consistency I like.

The sandwich was delicious and I would never have been able to tell it apart from traditional peanut butter.  Even better, by mixing the portion I know there’s no portion creep going on (have you ever tried to measure peanut butter!).

I often take veggies to work for snacks and decided to stuff my celery with the Mighty Nut Flax & Chia Powdered Peanut Butter.

I really enjoyed them and have to say it felt good knowing I was getting the benefits of flax and chia without really noticing them in the food.  My next adventure will be a breakfast smoothie.
