Last week I had the pleasure of attending an evening Sip + Style event hosted by Bzees and Athleta at the San Diego UTC Athleta location. There were four reasons I wanted to attend although any one of these is reason enough!
- I love Bzees shoes
- First time at the Athleta store
- Proceeds went to Autism Tree Project Foundation
- See blogger friends
We had the opportunity to learn about the new Bzees Fall line (flats, slipons and boots) and the innovation put into these shoes. Bzees shoes are light (just six ounces!) and so comfortable. I had a previous pair that I ultimately had to get rid of because my shoe size changed and I could no wear them. 🙁
Here’s why the designs are so unique:
- air-infused outsoles
- free foam footbeds
- dynamic stretch uppers
- machine washable
Let me throw in there stylish to boot (pun intended). There was plenty of time to get styled in our choice of Bzees along with Athleta clothing. Let me tell you, my pocketbook is glad I didn’t know about this store before because I loved their collections. I love that they have clothing to take you throughout the day (including work) not just during workouts.
I selected the new grey lifetime slipons and will be traveling in them this weekend.
The cushioned instep is like walking on clouds.
Food & Drink
Of course there was food and drink to enhance the styling going on.
California Fruit Wine hosted a wine
bar wagon with a variety. I didn’t partake (that designated driver thing) but they looked refreshing and were enjoyed by many.
This sushi table by Blue Ocean Robata & Sushi Bar was swarmed all evening and I heard it was delicious (not a sushi person)! What I did enjoy personally was the sweet to cap it all off.
This truffle tower of goodness was from Frost Me Gourmet. The hazelnut chocolate with sea salt was de bomb!
The best part? Proceeds from the evening went back to Autism Tree Project Foundation, which assists with education, advocacy, early intervention and mentorship to support children and families touched by autism.
You can support this charity because Bzees will be donating $5 from every pair of shoes sold using code OLIVER to the Autism Tree Project. Thank you Bzees for this opportunity to support the foundation and a great evening.
